You can tell Snarf ran out of fatigue for the day... holy shit.

From what I've read of the guide, summoners (me) are more a support healing class than main healing.

Anyways I'm rolling with my aggressive robot-scorpion aka get-tags-on-all-the-mobs-get-paid-bot.

The only problem I see is since we can't catch up to you due to fatigue and how leveling works, and how one level makes all the difference in the world, how the hell are we supposed to really play togheter at some point before ... 40 ??

I really don't know, the only reason I blow my fatigue each day is because I still consider myself pretty much the only person that really plans on playing this thing. I'm not gonna go hardcore all over the game or anything, but I definitely plan to keep at it at least until I'm 23 and can see what the PvP is like. I like the game, I think it has potential (though it also has potential to get fucked up by patches) and I enjoy playing it. It fits nicely into my schedule and I don't have to worry about falling behind because I only play a few hours a day.

Also I'm in a drastically different timezone than the rest of you boyos. But I can consistently play from around 6/7pm your time until 11pm no problem. So if you really do want to roll deep then we can sort something out. We only really need 2 or 3 hours, since that's usually enough to use all our Fatigue for the day.

If you and maybe Steel get your characters sorted out (Steel seems to be going off his melee healer) and really do want to give this fucker a go then I'll be happy to skip a couple days of Fatigue and wait for you dudes.

The game is by no means revolutionary, as far as I can tell they've essentially copied WoW's basic interface in what I assume is an effort to take customers away that don't like paying to play WoW, and have them easily integrate into the controls for this game.

The general gameplay is essentially quest grinding and dungeons, but you hit the PvP areas around level 20 (max is 40) and this is all that some people really do.

you were warned!

I have my character sorted, I'm building a melee healer, I'm only going to consider changing after I've played it for a bit at the high levels aka 1 month or so at 27+ and determined if it fits my play style, as melee healer pvp involves alot of circle strafing which I find annoying sometimes.

But I can't say I'm going to be playing this game every day either.

I don't care if we play every day, but if you really do plan to keep going for awhile I'll hold off for a day and let you catch up. I'm currently a little over halfway through 15. I've finished everything in the Military District (including the Steppes/Island) and I've done around 5 or so of the starting quests in ZIT (rats, scorpions, harpies, spiders, sarcophagi, 1 sparks quest and the one where you take 5 readings from some crystals), which I guess is 7. All these quests were on the first island, and I haven't been anywhere else yet.

Also my level 15 helm is a gas mask. Get sick.

wut?

Assuming you play everyday and I play everyday I'll always be a level under you. I prolly won't be playing everyday but you can keep doing your thing, it doesn't matter to me.

I was reading about how they designed raid tanking in this game and I was actually quite impressed. The raid tanks are the Paladins and the system they designed for them not only deals with massive critical spike damage, but also gives the tank a much more active and involved role in mitigating the damage they receive (as opposed to just hoping your healers are awake).

By the time a Paladin is level 40 they will have 3 "barriers" (1 to start, 2 at 23, and 3 at 40). Each barrier stores a single hit from a mob for 10 secs, and they prioritize in storing the largest hits. For example, if a mob hits you for 20k, 10k, 5k, then 2k your barriers will store the 20k, 10k and 5k hit and you will take the 2k in damage. Once 10 secs has elapsed from when you were initially hit, the barrier will break and you will take the damage stored in the barrier.

If a larger hit arrives while you have a smaller one in storage, the barrier will replace the smaller hit with the larger one (resetting the 10sec timer) and you will take the smaller hit in damage. For example, if you are storing a 5k, 5k, and 5k hit and you take a 10k hit, your barriers will then be storing a 10k, 5k, and 5k, and you will take 5k damage.

The skill for a tank comes in organizing and controlling their barriers. Their first tanking skill is called "Overcome" that reduces the amount of damage stored in only the first barrier by 40/45/55% (it has 3 ranks) and then breaks the barrier. Another skill called "Tenacity" refreshes the duration on a chosen barrier and places it last in line to be broken (on a 2sec cooldown). Therefore, the tanking Paladin must watch their barriers, choose the one that will cause the most damage, shift it to the front of the queue by moving the other barriers to the back, and then choose when to break it. They also have an ability that can distribute stored damage equally between all barriers, along with other talents to further improve Overcome and healing received.

Skilled Pallies can apparently reduce what would be a nasty 20k crit down to around 4k damage. All of this must be done while maintaining aggro and any other activities the tank must perform.

Color me impressed.

at level 18 I get the Allods equivalent of Aspect of the Pack, so level the fuck up to 16 son, you got two days

I figure Steel and I will do a bit of questing tomorrow, get him caught up to me. Then when we both ding 16 we stop since he only has a couple hours today and wait till Friday to get real again when both our Fatigue amounts will be even.

You know damn well that is not possible. If lucky I'll be 11 MAYBE 12 on friday. I could use my fatigue twice on Friday pre-11pm and post-11pm but I'll be at at friends for sick lanning and perhaps not really allodsing. We'll see.

As much as this fatigue thing is a good idea to keep it casual, there's no real way to catch up besides spending 2x time or more time on griding.

tldr : u giev godl ? SPEND THE "4.8USD" IMO.

Warriors can tank very effectively, they just aren't raid boss tanks.
